SACRED PEPPER IN NORTH TAMPA
SCULPTURAL LIGHTING AND LAYERED DINING SPACES

Project Type: Hospitality Interior Design
Location: North Tampa, Florida
Design Focus:
Restaurant interiors, sculptural lighting, tailored seating and an expressive blue palette
Project Details:
In North Tampa, Crespo Design Group completely redesigned the interiors of Sacred Pepper to serve the restaurant’s evolving crowd. The project creates a distinctive setting for contemporary American cuisine with an Italian flair, bringing the dining rooms, bar and arrival spaces into one coordinated experience. Lighting, tables and chairs were hand-selected to shape how guests settle in, dine and gather. Pale upholstered seating provides a calm foundation, while blue accents, patterned surfaces and sculptural lights give the interiors their character. Each area offers a different atmosphere within a consistent palette, from the lively bar to the more enclosed dining room.
The bar is a strong focal point. Its illuminated, patterned counter introduces warm amber tones beside blue upholstered chairs, while vivid blue wall panels draw attention to the back of the room. A chandelier hangs beneath the tall central ceiling, adding another layer of light above the seating. Nearby, a long tufted banquette provides a comfortable place to gather. The arrangement gives guests several ways to enjoy the room, with seats at the counter, tables along the wall and lounge chairs close to the dining area.
Above the banquette, a branch-shaped sculpture carries small points of light across the wall. Its organic form contrasts with the straight lines of the tables and chairs, creating a memorable feature without filling the room with additional furnishings. Low accent lighting outlines the seating, and small table lights bring illumination down to the guests’ level. Blue striped lounge chairs continue the color scheme while adding a more relaxed seating option beside the bar.
In the main dining room, pale upholstered chairs and booths frame tables of different sizes. The furniture creates defined places for conversation while maintaining a visual connection across the room. Blue patterned carpet grounds the soft neutral seating, and glowing pendant fixtures add warmth overhead. Taller upholstered partitions separate some tables, giving individual groups a sense of enclosure. The mix of seating styles lets the interior feel varied while repeating the same colors and materials.
A separate dining room develops that palette through tufted chairs, pale table surfaces and deep blue artwork. A decorative ceiling adds texture above the tables, while recessed lighting keeps the furnishings visible. Wine displays flank a central screen on one wall, and small lamps give each table a focused pool of light. The room carries the restaurant’s layered character into a more contained setting, with repeated upholstery and blue accents linking it to the larger dining spaces.
The arrival sequence receives the same attention. At the host stand, hanging lights and blue ceiling illumination introduce the restaurant’s expressive lighting. A vaulted corridor uses reflective, textured surfaces and low lights to turn circulation into part of the visual experience. Striped flooring leads through these spaces and continues toward the bar. Across Sacred Pepper, Crespo Design Group brings together purposeful furniture choices, varied lighting and a coordinated palette to create an engaging North Tampa restaurant interior for dining and gathering.
