Sapphire is a 22,000-square-foot restaurant and entertainment venue in Tampa, Florida, conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the glamorous supper clubs of the 1950s. More than a restaurant, the venue brings exceptional dining, live performance, nightlife, and immersive interior design together beneath one roof. Guests are invited to dress for the occasion, and every part of the experience is designed to reward that sense of anticipation.
The expansive program includes an exclusive private members' area, a banquet and event space, and three private dining rooms, each with its own bar and private entrance. Every area has a distinct
identity while remaining connected through a consistent design language of organic forms, dramatic curves, rich materials, custom furnishings, and modern decadence.
At the heart of Sapphire is the stage. Live entertainment takes place nightly, and at 11 p.m. a DJ takes over as the stage area transforms into a dance floor. This entertainment-driven concept shaped the entire restaurant layout: every seat was thoughtfully positioned to maintain a view of the stage, making the performance an integral part of the dining experience.
Lighting is the defining element throughout the interior. Guests enter through a dramatic illuminated wall before encountering a spectacular main chandelier. Statement fixtures continue through the banquet space and private dining rooms, creating individual moments of theater and giving each room its own personality.
Even the restrooms were treated as part of the experience rather than an afterthought. Italian faucets descend from the ceiling, turning an unexpected functional detail into a memorable design moment. Curved banquettes, sculptural forms, and custom-designed carpeting soften the scale of the venue while reinforcing an atmosphere that feels sexy, sophisticated, and decadent.
The result is a bold, highly personalized hospitality interior that celebrates glamour without feeling nostalgic—a contemporary supper club designed for the way Tampa dines, entertains, and celebrates today. Sapphire is more than a restaurant. It is a destination, and there is nothing else quite like it in the Tampa Bay area.
