Gray and greens were a pleasant surprise at High Point Spring Market this year. Gray has been a go-to favorite for some time now, but we loved seeing this fresh take on gray with deep charcoal upholstery accented with bright hues of green.

We toured the redesigned Bernhardt Furniture showroom and loved the bright pops of green we saw accenting this gray high-backed banquette sofa. The vivid and colorful green shown here balances the cool gray for a palette that is both balanced and uplifting.

This tufted upholstered headboard in charcoal was anything but drab when paired with vibrant green bedding and pillows. With stainless contemporary end tables as nightstands and a bright leather bench, we loved this vignette for it’s bold and colorful statement.

Clear acrylic legs were kind of hot on furniture this season. When paired with this fabulous green tufted leather ottoman they were especially intriguing. The interplay of the visual lightness of the legs combined with the contemporary styled leather was fantastic.

Was a new find for us – full of fun bright colors and playful shapes. We loved the green and glass combination on this coffee table, as well as the tapered and delicate legs on this sweet side table.

Their tables come in 16 highly lacquered finishes and, even better, are made in the US.

But how do we see it in a room?

1. We love this Farrow and Ball paint color, Elephant Breath, as a neutral gray base for the walls. The perfect blend of beige and gray, the undertone complements the green and works well with wood tones and furniture. Plus, we love the name! 2. Still hot – bunches of exposed bulbs as chandeliers, like this one we spotted at High Point, NC. Contemporary, artistic, fun. 3. Charcoal sofas can be very ‘mens’ suit-wear’ – we like this one for it’s curved back and arm details and furniture legs. Refined and sophisticated. 4.Grab some green accent pillows to brighten up your charcoal sofa. 5. These flat pile, hand woven, wool area rugs caught our eye at the Surya showroom this season. available in 13 colors and designed by the fabulous Jill Rosenwald, we love this variation in, yes – Elephant Gray and Papyrus. 6. Owen Mortensen. Organic Modernism. Enough said.
