From Dallas With Love…

As interior designers working with clients who have homes and other properties outside of the Tampa Bay area, we’re fortunate to travel frequently to the Caribbean, the mountains resorts of Colorado, Los Angeles and other exciting places.

This past week, we were headed to a client project in California, but stopped in Dallas, Texas to visit a supplier and to look around the Dallas Design District. Fantastic area and a ‘must-visit’ the next time you’re in Dallas.

While we were there, someone mentioned we take a drive over to Highland Park Village near the Dallas Country Club and Southern Methodist University (SMU). They told us about this amazing boutique with one-of-a-kind furniture.

The shop is Emily Summers 54, the retail studio for Emily Summers Design Associates. If you’re not familiar with Emily Summer’s work, here’s a look (from coverage in Architectural Digest).

As you can imagine, the furniture and accessories in the shop were outstanding. We were happy we’d made our way there. Finding unique pieces for luxury home design in Tampa can be a challenge at times, but also exciting as we seek out ‘just the right piece’ to complete a room — or be the highlight of a room.
